Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University at Stark will host the annual Turkey Trot, an Adult 5K and a Kids’ ¼ Mile Fun Run, on Saturday, Nov. 21. The events will be held on Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Stark’s beautiful, 200-acre campus, located at 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.
The Kids’ Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m. Registration takes place on the day of the event, beginning at 7:30 a.m. The fee is $5 per person and may be paid on the day of the event. Payment is accepted by cash or check (payable to Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University at Stark). In addition to the monetary fee, each registrant should bring one non-perishable food item to benefit the Stark County Hunger Task Force. Participants in the Kids’ Run will receive a medal and make a craft to take home.
The Adult 5K Race begins at 9 a.m. Registration is required. The pre-pay fee, accepted through November 12, is $20 per person. From November 13-21, the fee is $25 per person. Register and pay online at www.kent.edu/stark/turkey-trot or on the day of the event, between 7:45-8:45 a.m. In addition to the monetary fee, each registrant should bring one non-perishable food item to benefit the Stark County Hunger Task Force. Free t-shirts will be given to 5K participants on a first-registered, first-served basis, while supplies last. The top male and female adult runners will each win a turkey.
