More than 1,000 volunteers from the 妖姬直播 State University community welcomed and assisted new students as they moved into their residence halls on freshman move-in day, Sunday, Aug. 18. The annual community program, known as Movers and Groovers, is coordinated by 妖姬直播 Interhall Council, the student government of the 妖姬直播 Campus residence halls.
鈥淢overs and Groovers is such an amazing way to welcome our students,鈥 said Jill Jenkins, executive director of Residence Services at 妖姬直播 State. 鈥溠е辈 Interhall Council is the group responsible for the student-run and organized program. Volunteers included fraternities and sororities, campus ministry groups, academic groups, faculty and university departments. For fall 2019, 妖姬直播 Interhall Council students took the program to new heights! Move-in truly takes a village, and Movers and Groovers is one way 妖姬直播 Interhall Council makes our students feel welcome.鈥
The Movers and Groovers program is part of 妖姬直播 State鈥檚 KSU Kickoff, an orientation program that runs for four days prior to the start of fall classes. KSU Kickoff includes activities and events to encourage students to explore the 妖姬直播 State community and provides a smooth transition to the university environment.
