Outstanding Mentoring Award
Description
The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State EHHS Outstanding Mentoring Award recognizes outstanding achievements that have enhanced the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State community including its students, administrative staff, and faculty. Relevant activities include encouraging, nurturing and teaching another, as well as responding to the learner’s needs and offering respect and support. The contributions can occur within the capacity of teaching, research, creative activities, service, and/or outreach. One Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State EHHS Mentoring Award will be made annually.
Eligibility
All current KSU EHHS faculty and administrative staff. An individual can only receive the award once every five years.
Nomination Procedure
The nominator should:
- Ensure nominee’s eligibility.
- Complete Nomination Form (PDF)
- Include a 1-page (maximum) nomination letter highlighting the nominee’s contribution toward a mentee and the impacts of this work.
Note: If application is self-nominated, the applicant should secure an additional nomination letter from a colleague or peer supporting the application. - Include the nominee’s vita or resume, emphasizing the nominee’s strength in mentoring.
The committee’s decision on award recipients will be made on the basis of the above materials only.
