Economics
WELCOME
We make choices every day, both in our personal and professional lives. Economics is the study of how individuals, businesses and societies make decisions and their resulting implications. Majoring in economics provides you with a coherent framework to analyze why specific choices are made, how choices should be made and their resulting effects. Courses emphasize critical thinking, conceptualizing and solving problems and understanding and analyzing data in decision-making.
STUDENT ECONOMIST ASSOCIATION
The Student Economist Association (SEA) provides an environment that facilitates academic achievement and interaction among students, alumni and professionals in the economic community. The goals of The SEA are: to provide a forum to discuss economic issues related to business, government and public policy; to better develop your leadership, communication and analytical abilities; and to provide you opportunities to socialize with other members.
OMICRON DELTA EPSILON
Omicron Delta Epsilon is the International Honor Society in Economics. This organization has more than 400 chapters throughout the world and offers you opportunities to activities such as invited speakers, group discussions, dinners, meetings and special projects.
