Working Toward the Olympics – and a Graduate Degree at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State

In May, student-athlete Gabby Bailey completed her master's degree at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State while also pursuing her dream of competing in the Olympics with support from her coach and Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Athletics.

Planning for Smart Cities Starts with User Experience

For User Experience master's student Christina Turner, user experience starts with a person in front of a computer screen. "Everything's gotten so complicated online.... Everyone feels bad if they don't know how to do something on a computer. They really feel like they’ve dropped the ball. So I just do a lot more comforting people. Like, ‘you're not bad at this. This software is terrible. You're doing great.’â€

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University receives an NSF grant for quantum computing training

Co-PIs Dr. Michael Strickland (Professor and Chair, Physics), Dr. Qiang Guan (Assistant Professor, Computer Science), and Dr. Barry Dunietz (Associate Professor, Chemistry) have received a $500k grant from the National Science Foundation to develop a quantum computing (QC) training program at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University.
