Beginning April 4, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University will participate in the On the Move Challenge, a new 12-week, national corporate competition. This competition is like no other, in that the points you earn as an individual will get your team (Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State) one step closer to a designation as one of the most active employers in the country!

Bradley A. Bielski, Ph.D., dean and chief administrative officer of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University at Tuscarawas, is leading an initiative to dramatically expand the athletic programs offered by the campus, as well as reinstituting choir and band as credit courses.

Staff at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University’s Center for Corporate and Professional Development decided to support a worthy cause by delivering supplies to a local pet shelter. 

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University’s student-run television station TV2 was awarded the first place Pinnacle Award for Station of the Year at the 2015 College Media Association conference in Austin, Texas.

The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Women’s Center presented 12 female students with its Sage Project Award for overcoming barriers and finding balance in following their path and making their mark at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State.

Four members of the nursing faculty at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University at Salem, along with 15 nursing students, traveled to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in southern South Dakota to interact with members of the Oglala Lakota Sioux tribe. 

When the concept of homelessness comes to mind, people tend to focus efforts on food donations, but Ashley Flowers, a junior majoring in psychology and criminology and justice studies at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University, wants to remind people that clothing and toiletries also are essential items.

When a professor says no one has more fun teaching than he does – and the students cite the enthusiasm and passion for the material he teaches – that combination leads to award-winning honors.  

Christopher Bell is the 2015 recipient of the College Reading and Learning Association’s (CRLA) Outstanding Tutor Award — the first-ever recipient from an Ohio college or university. 

The talents of 18 Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University students were on display at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Student Center Programming’s 12th annual Rock the Runway fashion show, which took place March 5. Fashion was king on a night that featured the sights and sounds of this year’s theme, The Jacksons.
