National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15)
National Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes and celebrates the heritage, culture and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15th to commemorate Independence Day for five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Native American Heritage Month (November)
Native American Heritage Month it is a time to celebrate, recognize, and inform the public about the culture, traditions, histories, art, and contributions of American Indians and Alaska Natives. Native American Heritage Month began in 1976, as Native American Awareness Week, which was observed in October. Native American Heritage Month began in 1976, as Native American Awareness week in October. In 1990, President Bush approved the designation of November as National American Indian Heritage Month.

Black History Month (February)
In 1970 according to the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Stater, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University began observance of Black History Month, however, it was not until 1976 that every president designated the month of February as Black History Month.
