Lunch and Learn: March Madness Without the Guilt - March 15

Watch parties with finger-friendly foods, like piping hot pizza, crunchy potato chips, spicy chicken wings and a plethora of dips, are staples of college basketball in the spring. Fortunately, there are ways to slim down some of your favorite March Madness meals without sacrificing taste.

In this cooking demo, to be held March 15 from noon-1 p.m. in Heer Hall, Room 107, you will learn easy ways to prepare healthy and delicious versions of popular appetizers. These crowd-pleasing recipes will let you enjoy the game and the food minus the guilt. Our Be Well dietician and team members will answer questions and share samples.

Our lunch and learn is open to all faculty and staff; however, space is limited and .  A light lunch will be provided to all participants in addition to the recipe sampling.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.

Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
