Starting April 20, the KSU Benefits Office will officially be using Freshservice to manage all benefits-related questions and requests. Freshservice is the same ticketing system used by KSU IT and will help us get you faster, more accurate answers while making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Here is what you need to know:

  • Understanding your personal values is essential for professional development and serves as the foundation for how you make decisions, interact with others, and find meaning in your work (Evans, 2024; Mashlah, 2015; Towe, n.d.). So, what are your values? Where do they come from? And how do you live them at work? Discovering our Values is a learning session where you can reflect on these questions and more! Join us for this guided reflection experience on April 7 from 2-4 p.m. Register here.

  • Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s Culinary Services faces the daily challenge of serving more than 20,000 meals to students, staff, and faculty. This task is further complicated by the increasing number of food allergies. In response to this increasing issue, University Culinary Services (UCS) has implemented stock epinephrine, now available at six of the university’s largest dining locations: Eastway Dining, Eastway Market, DI Hub, Student Center, Grill 72, and Rosie’s.

  • Nominations are now open for the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Advisor Impact Award! Sponsored by University Advising, the Advisor Impact Award is a quarterly recognition given to one outstanding academic advisor who has made a significant positive impact on the lives and academic success of their students. This award celebrates advisors who embody the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Advising Guiding Principles. Nominations for the award close Friday, April 10.

  • Summer is the perfect time to learn a new skill or supplement your interests. These open-enrollment workshops are flexible and 100% online. Earn 1, 2, or 3 credits while learning about topics in education, technology, stress management, leadership, personal and professional development, and more. Both undergraduate and graduate offerings are available. Questions? Email pd@kent.edu.

  • Sudden cardiac arrest can happen without warning, and immediate action is critical. At Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are placed across campus to ensure help is always close by. These devices are designed for anyone to use—no medical training needed—and provide clear voice instructions during an emergency. AEDs can be found in some academic buildings, recreation and athletic facilities and other high traffic areas throughout the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus. Taking a moment to learn where the nearest AED is in your building or on campus can make a lifesaving difference.
