Does ��ֱ�� State offer child car seat safety inspections for employees?

On July 20 from 3-6 p.m., certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians from the Portage County Health Department will conduct child car seat inspections at the ��ֱ�� State Child Development Center, which is located at 775 Loop Road in ��ֱ��.

Four out of five car seats are installed incorrectly. Make sure your child's car seat is correctly installed.

��ֱ�� State Police Department representatives will be on hand to answer any safety-related questions you may have. There also will be a small health fair with representatives from local health and wellness service providers.

Individuals without an appointment will be accommodated as time permits on a first-come, first-served basis.

2024-2025 December/January Holiday Schedule

��ֱ�� State University's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.

Religious and Spiritual Accommodations Allow Students Time to Celebrate Other Religious Holidays

Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, ��ֱ�� State University created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
