Job Description
Responsible for overseeing one of the nation’s largest university systems, President Diacon leads Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State in accomplishing its strategic goals. He monitors the overall progress of the university; confers with the Board of Trustees and executive officers to plan and initiate programs concerning organizational, operational and academic functions; coordinates functions and operations between divisions; administers universitywide strategic planning activities; develops long- and short-range goals for the university; gives final approval of university budget; represents the Board and the university at various internal and external functions; engages in fundraising and community service activities; and promotes educational, research and public service objectives and policies for Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State.
