Dear Symposium Attendees,

We look forward to seeing you on October 26-27, 2023, for the BHRI’s 11th Annual Neuroscience Symposium at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Ñý¼§Ö±²¥, Ohio.  It will be a spectacular day with 200+ participants from 10+ institutions, 49 abstracts, and world-renown speakers and panelists!  

The program for our two-day event will begin at 6:00PM with Welcome Remarks from Manfred Van Dulmen, Ph.D., Senior Associate Provost and Dean, and Douglas Delahanty, Ph.D., Vice President for Research and Economic Development.   The Keynote Address by Leigh Hochberg, MD, Ph.D., Professor of Engineering and Professor of Brain Science at Brown University, will begin at 6:15PM and is entitled "Intracortical Brain-Computer Interfaces: Toward the Restoration of Communication and Mobility."

Please note, our pre-symposium Research Skills Workshop will be held on Thursday, October 26 from 1-4 pm in the Lower Level Lobby of the Integrated Sciences Building on Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus. 

Directions to the hotel, parking garage, and Integrated Sciences Building are below.  All attendees can request a parking voucher for PARTA parking at registration; however, you will also need to get a parking ticket when you enter the parking garage.  Please keep that ticket!

Directions to the Integrated Sciences Building: BHRI Lower-Level Lobby

Take Summit Street and proceed around the large roundabout to exit onto RISMAN DR. (You will be heading directly toward the Student Center).

Turn left into the visitor parking lot.

The Integrated Sciences Building (ISB) is across the student green from the visitor parking lot, between the library (the tallest building on campus) and Summit Street.

Once in the ISB Building:

a) If entering the building from the main entrance on the first floor:

  Do not take the Elevator 3; instead, proceed straight towards the end of the hallway - Elevator 2 will be on your left.

  Take the Elevator 2 to Floor B1, take a sharp left and proceed to the end of the hallway. 

  The sign for the Lower-Level Lobby will read: Suite 069 – Brain Health Research Institute. 

b) If entering the building from the Summit Street side:

  You can take the elevator on your right to Floor B1, or turn left and walk down one flight of stairs - the Lower-level Lobby sign   will read: Suite 069 - Brain Health Research Institute.
