Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: 9AM - 9PM

Thursday, Friday: 9AM - 5PM

Saturday: 12 Noon - 5PM

Sunday: 3PM - 9PM

Closures

  • We are closed when classes are not in session: If the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ campus closes due to weather, for example, we close as well.
  • We will be closed for Spring Recess, Saturday, 3/8 – Sunday, 3/16.

During the hours we are open, we can answer quick questions!

 

We Offer Three Session Types

  • Choose the "In-Person Meeting" session type for a face-to-face meeting in person with a writing consultant at our location on the 4th floor of the library.
  • Choose the "Teams Meeting" session type  for a video conference with a writing consultant, using your Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Teams meeting application.
  • Or send your work to the Writing Commons for Email Feedback from your writing consultant.

The Writing Commons is staffed by undergraduate students from a variety of majors who know the struggle you are going through. Whether you are having trouble brainstorming for your first essay, formatting your lab report, organizing your creative work, or revising your thesis, our writing consultants can help.

Please note: When classes are not in session, the Writing Commons is closed. When weather or other emergencies cause the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ campus to delay or cancel classes on the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ campus, the Writing Commons closes.

Location

The Writing Commons is located on the 4th floor of the University Library, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥, Ohio campus. Simply take a left out of the stairwell or two lefts off the elevator to find us.
