The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University alumni family will grow by more than 1,000 new graduates as the university holds its summer commencement ceremony. The accomplishments of the Summer Class of 2024 will be recognized with a commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. on Aug. 10. The commencement ceremony will be livestreamed at www.kent.edu/commencement.
In total, 1,046 degrees will be conferred this summer, consisting of 122 associate degrees, 558 bachelor’s degrees, 304 master’s degrees, 61 doctoral degrees and one educational specialist degree.
More than 500 of the graduating students have confirmed their participation in the in-person commencement ceremony.
During the commencement ceremony, graduating students will hear from Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State President Todd Diacon and Senior Vice President and Provost Melody Tankersley. Graduating students will also receive individual name recognition and participate in the conferral of degrees and tassel turning ceremony.
The Aug. 10 ceremony for all colleges and degrees on the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus will be held at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.
To participate in commencement, graduating students had to complete their ceremony RSVP by July. Each graduating student who registered for commencement has tickets for their commencement ceremony guests to attend.
