IN A FLASH: Using Sound to See

Sonography uses high-frequency sound images to capture moving images that are used to observe internal structures for medical diagnosis. Students in the radiology program at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University at Salem have hands-on learning experiences using real equipment to observe real-time images.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) is one of the concentrations students at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's Salem Campus can choose in the programs for the Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology (RADT) degree and the Bachelor of Radiologic and Imaging Sciences (BRIT) degree.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's Regional Campuses offer bachelor's degree, associate degree and certificate programs tailored to meet the needs of the communities they serve.
