The Outdoor Learning Laboratory allows children to experience long, uninterrupted time in the outdoors, providing them with the chance to develop strong relationships with each other, teachers and the world outside of the classroom. Opened in September 2013, the area includes an amphitheater, bike paths, wildflower patches, a garden, a mud kitchen, a bottle house, climbing structures, an open field, sand, and water features. These dynamic spaces afford opportunities for both guided and unstructured outdoor experiences in playing, walking barefoot, building things, gardening and more.
