IN A FLASH: Avatars Walk the Runway

Virtual Fashion Show 2024

At the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State School of Fashion's Third Annual Virtual Fashion Show, students were able to clothe customizable model avatars with their designs and then have them walk the runway in the DI Hub's Blank Lab.

The students' original designs were created in CLO (3D fashion design software). Their work is fully expressed digitally in fabrics, prints and textures.

The program was introduced by Margarita Benitez, professor, faculty director of the TechStyleLAB, and Mourad Krifa, Ph.D., Margaret Clark Morgan, director of the School of Fashion Design and Merchandising, and was followed by a reception.

The Blank Lab features floor-to-ceiling wraparound screens that create an immersive experience for viewers.
