A visitor learns about the events surrounding May 4, 1970 while visiting the May 4 Visitors Center

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University sophomore Phil Morgan said he learned about the May 4, 1970, shootings during a history lesson in middle school that included few details, except the fact that the Ohio National Guard’s presence at a student protest ended in the deaths of four students.

A prominent political strategist, lawyer and advocate for positive change in the political process will serve as the keynote speaker at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Angela Rye, principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies, will join the university in celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 23 at 3:30 p.m. in the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Student Center Ballroom.

Summer Advantage is an educational journey based on career exploration, success coaching and academic coursework. Summer Advantage is designed to assist underrepresented students to graduate in four years and envision a path for the future by building a support network of peers and professional staff.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State team wins Mission:Life international competition

A team of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State students took first place in the seventh annual Mission: Life international competition on November 12, which took place at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
