Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University will redesign many aspects of the university’s operations and organization as it undertakes careful belt-tightening over the next four years, President Todd Diacon shared Feb. 13 during his monthly Talking With Todd webcast.

Students, faculty and alumni from Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University’s world-renowned School of Fashion will be sending some of their most exciting designs down the runway on Feb. 8 in Haute for the House, a fashion show to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio.

The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of a new cybercriminology major within the Bachelor of Science degree at the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held Dec. 6. The new cybercriminology major will be offered fully online, in addition to a mostly online delivery at all Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State campuses.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University supporters once again joined together during the university’s Giving Tuesday campaign to raise more than $2.8 million to support a variety of student scholarships and programs.

From now through Dec. 15, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University is collecting clean, gently used or new items of warm clothing for all ages, including coats, hats, gloves, scarves and sweaters, as part of its Winter Coat and Clothing Drive.

The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Surplus Store helps the university liquidate assets in a sustainable and responsible way while offering unique items at low prices. 

The Rev. Larry L. Macon Jr., J.D., has been appointed to the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Board of Trustees by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.

Macon will serve through May 16, 2027, fulfilling the unexpired term of Johnathan Holifield. Holifield resigned his position as a trustee in late 2022 due to an out-of-state relocation.
