McNair Scholarship

The McNair Scholars Program prepares undergraduate students who are first-generation, from designated income or underrepresented groups in graduate schools, for doctoral study. McNair Scholars are engaged in scholarly research, mentored by faculty, and are exposed to varied academic and cultural experiences.

100% of recent graduates received funding.
Over $180,000 in funding.
10% earn a PHD in 10 years.
$10,000 in scholarships for undergraduates.
Served over 300 students in 25 years.
