KENTLINGUA

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥Lingua is the organization of graduate students enrolled in the M.A. and Ph.D. in translation programs at kent state university.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥Lingua LogoÑý¼§Ö±²¥Lingua's objectives include helping graduate students in translation make the most of the programs in which they are enrolled and acting as a liaison between students and the MCLS Department. Ñý¼§Ö±²¥Lingua seeks to meet these objectives through:

  • Mentoring of first-year graduate students by second-year students
  • Organizing professional and social events for graduate students.
  • Helping students obtain internships in language industry companies
  • Establishing and maintaining a network of current students and alumni
  • Ensuring ongoing communication between students and the Modern and Classical Language Studies Department

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥Lingua was officially recognized in September 2000. Its members are graduate students in Translation, and Literature & Culture. They come from around the world.
