Thesis Scholarships
The Honors College provides several opportunities for financial support for students who complete a Senior Honors Thesis/Project.
Reimbursement for Expenses
Preparation of the manuscript can become somewhat expensive, especially in certain disciplines. The Honors College has limited funds available to help defray these and other expenses connected to the thesis.
Students must keep all receipts for actual expenses incurred and submit them along with the two copies of the completed thesis. Examples of production expenses include photocopy fees, videotapes, film, printer cartridges, etc. Other examples of expenses include survey mailings, materials, and equipment needed during the thesis process. Reimbursement up to a maximum of $150 is standard. In rare cases, when the thesis expenses exceed $150, a student may request additional funds, but granting such a request is dependent on funds available and is not automatic.
Thesis Scholarships
Any student who is completing a Senior Honors Thesis is eligible to apply for one of several Senior Honors Thesis Scholarships. The student does not have to be a member of the Honors College but must have a thesis proposal submitted and approved by the Honors College to be considered for an award. The students must also be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours on the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ campus in both the fall and spring semesters of their thesis year. These scholarship awards provide the recipient with a minimum of $1,000 for their thesis year.
