Dublin, Ireland
Located in the North Atlantic Ocean, Ireland is a European island divided into two countries:
- Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom and uses the pound sterling as its currency, and
- the Republic of Ireland, which is part of the European Union and uses the euro.
The official languages are Irish and English. The population of the Republic of Ireland consists of roughly 5 million people, compared to Northern Ireland’s 1.9 million.
Ireland continues to rank as a top performing economy in Europe and one of the fastest growing advanced economies in the world.

Students will spend the majority of this study abroad program in the capital city of Dublin and the surrounding area. We’ll also head south for four days to explore Kilkenny, one of Ireland's most cosmopolitan cities and a hidden gem in the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East.
Dublin is one of the six UNESCO cities of literature, and it is the birthplace of the famous author Oscar Wilde. Literature runs all throughout the city and there are plenty of book festivals and world-class libraries. The city is also known for its wonderful museums, gardens, Saint Patrick celebrations, and of course, its world famous Guinness Beer.
Transportation
The program fee covers all instructional costs, transportation to and from Dublin airport, as well as transportation to and from the hotel to all site visits.
The program fee doesn’t cover airfare. You will arrive and depart from Dublin Airport (DUB), Ireland.
