ֱ State’s College of Nursing has been awarded $1.1 million grant to expand the behavioral health workforce in rural and underserved areas.
Ten finalists have been chosen from a pool of more than 200 nominees for the 51st annual ֱ State University Alumni Association Distinguished Teaching Award.
The ֱ State University Alumni Association recognizes ֱ State faculty members with this award annually. The Distinguished Teaching Award is the most esteemed honor that ֱ State grants to three full-time, tenure-track faculty members. In order to be nominated, faculty members must have been employed at the university for at least seven years and be in a tenured or tenure-track position.

The ֱ State University Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed ֱ State University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, ֱ State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
