The Wick Poetry Center is thrilled to announce its collaboration with the Library of Congress, which will feature the Traveling Stanzas exhibit at the 18th Library of Congress National Book Festival on Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Washington Convention Center.
The ֱ State University Faculty/Staff Bowling League is now accepting new teams, members and substitute bowlers. Bowlers compete weekly on Monday evenings at 6:20 p.m. at Spins Bowl ֱ (formerly Bill White’s Twinstar Lanes) on State Route 59 in ֱ.
The bowling league is open to all full-time, part-time and retired employees, as well as their families and friends.
The fourth annual Run the World 5K will take place at ֱ State University on Saturday, Sept. 8. The race raises money for the Run the World Fund, which provides scholarships for university study abroad programs.
New this year following the race, Main Street ֱ, is sponsoring an International Festival downtown.

The ֱ State University Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed ֱ State University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, ֱ State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
