Student Teaching

Within the ADED program, student teaching is, essentially, a year-long experience. Each ADED student applies to student teach in the fall of their junior year and is given his or her placement at the beginning of the fall of the senior year.

During the Practicum course, each ADED student is expected to fulfill 96 hours of field work at his or her student teaching site, including the teaching of a 10-day unit.  Full-time student teaching begins in January of the senior year and lasts for 12 weeks.
