Maximizing access to the world for persons with disability.

Career and Community Studies (CCS) is a college-based, non-degree transitional program that prepares students with intellectual and developmental disabilities for adult life through academic pursuits, peer socialization, and career discovery and preparation. Career and Community Studies integrates inclusive classes, a typical college experience, and a transition curriculum to assist students in achieving adult roles and quality of life in a community of their choice. The CCS program is for students who have completed high school requirements and who are at least 18 years of age.

Seven Career and Community Studies students attended Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University's graduation on Saturday, May 11, 2024. There were smiles and tears from students, parents, and faculty as they celebrated the students' successes. The students moved their tassels from the right to the left, signifying that they are now KSU alumni! One student exclaimed, "This is the best day of my life!"
