Dear Alumni and Friends,
At the College of Podiatric Medicine, we practice what we teach. It is what I love the most about my career in Podiatric Medicine. I am able to treat patients both clinically and surgically while building long-term relationships with those individuals. This allows me to continue doing what I love - interacting and treating patients with a hands-on approach, while witnessing our students sharpen their skills in treating our patients. The best moment as a physician educator is being able to watch your students excel in a field you both love.
There are some very exciting opportunities as well as challenges ahead for our college. In order to equip our students with the necessary knowledge, skills and experiences they need to become leading foot and ankle specialists, the College of Podiatric Medicine is dedicated to providing these students with all of their modern day needs and requirements.
Please join us as we work to attract the best and brightest students in our field by moving forward with these campus-wide priorities and initiatives. Your philanthropic support can help us make dreams a reality. Through your giving, their passion becomes our profession. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Dr. Allan M. Boike
Dean
College of Podiatric Medicine

In order to continue to bring the best and brightest prospective podiatric medicine students to our college, we are focusing on the following enhancements for our college.
鈥 Many students have the talent and drive to succeed, but they lack the financial means. As the largest need of the college, it should be known that the average debt of a graduating student from the college is $209,000. Your gift to a scholarship changes a student鈥檚 life and helps the College of Podiatric Medicine continue to be a place where practice breeds practicing podiatrists. Learn more about Scholarships.
鈥 Updated curriculum and space for small group learning is essential for the college. Fourteen new spaces could be developed and implemented that mimic a hospital, team-based approach. These spaces will inspire group problem solving better than large lecture based learning.
鈥 Launching in the Spring of 2020, CPM students will have the opportunity to study abroad with a one-month clerkship near Florence, Italy. Because global linkages are important to our students education, the college is excited to offer this opportunity for them to be involved in international programs, and needs to be able to offer financial support.
