At Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University College of Podiatric Medicine (KSUCPM), we take immense pride in educating and inspiring future leaders in the medical specialty of podiatric medicine and surgery.
At KSUCPM, students transform into skilled podiatric physicians and surgeons, gaining the expertise to care for diverse patient populations. From athletes recovering from injuries to children with congenital conditions and individuals managing diabetic ulcers, podiatric physicians are at the forefront of life-changing care.
We are proud to celebrate two exceptional alumni, Dr. Hamidat Momoh and Dr. Neil Bernard, who exemplify the spirit of service and excellence at KSUCPM. Currently 3rd- and 2nd-year podiatric medical residents, Hamidat and Neil joined forces with the Small Steps Medical Mission and The Podiatry Institute on a transformative mission to San Salvador, El Salvador.
During this mission, they provided critical care to underserved communities, screening over 100 patients, performing surgeries—including polydactyly, clubfoot correction, and spastic equinus—and fitting orthotics. Their efforts profoundly impacted countless children and families. Reflecting on the experience, Hamidat shared, “The gratitude and collaboration we shared made this an experience I will never forget.â€
At KSUCPM, service isn’t just part of our curriculum—it’s at the heart of our mission. Graduates like Hamidat and Neil embody our commitment to advancing healthcare and inspiring the next generation of podiatric medical leaders.
