School of Art to Open Juried Exhibit, Aggregate, on Oct. 13

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥, Ohio – The School of Art Collection and Galleries at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University are pleased to announce a new exhibit, Aggregate, a juried exhibit featuring work from undergraduate and graduate art students from all over the state of Ohio. The exhibit will be on view in the KSU Downtown Gallery, October 13- December 9, 2023, with a reception on Friday, October 13, 5 – 7 p.m.

This juried exhibit features 33 works from 33 students who attend 10 different schools in the state of Ohio. These pieces were selected from a pool of 314 entries from over 15 separate institutions from around the state. The exhibit was juried by the School of Art Collection and Galleries, Director, and student gallery staff. Aggregate seeks to bring together and highlight the wide array of talents throughout the state.

KSU Downtown Gallery Hours: Mon. - Fri. 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Closed Sundays.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ the School of Art

The School of Art at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University was established in 1941 and maintains a tradition of excellence in visual arts education, creation, scholarship, and leadership. Its undergraduate and graduate programs in the visual arts offer a range of directions and opportunities in the fields of art education, art history, and studio art, which includes a comprehensive array of studio disciplines: ceramics, drawing, glass, jewelry/metals/enameling, painting, print media and photography, sculpture and expanded media, and textiles. The School of Art Collection and Galleries consist of six exhibition spaces located on the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ campus and downtown Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ and a collection of over 4,000 artworks and objects. The School of Art is located at the Center of the Visual Arts at 325 Terrace Dr. in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥. The 27,900-square-foot facility — twice the length of a football field —had its grand opening in 2016 and houses all School of Art studios and classrooms under one roof.
