ֱ State University’s School of Theatre and Dance continues its 2024-2025 season with “Belonging” Fall Faculty Concert running November 22 through 24 in E. Turner Stump Theatre, located in the Center for Performing Arts.
This year’s fall concert focuses on the concept of “belonging;” a common struggle during these uncommon times. Four faculty members, Jennifer Black, Ambre Emory Maier, Catherine Meredith and Jeffrey Marc Rockland are joined by guest choreographer Kim Sulek. An iconic work by guest choreographer Michael Uthoff, several world premieres and the restaging of a contemporary musical theatre dance reflection all provide the audience with a joyous, thoughtful and inspiring entertainment experience.
Come see how the concept of belonging has been interpreted by this diverse collection of choreographic voices and performed and produced by a talented group of over 50 students and faculty!
The artistic director of "Belonging" Fall Faculty Concert is Jeffrey Marc Rockland, with student artistic directors Lalah Sanah Brown, Isabella Gibbs and Abigail Orcutt. Choreography is by Jennifer Black, Catherine Meredith, Jeffrey Marc Rockland, Kim Sulek and Michael Uthoff with regisséur, Ambre Emory-Maier. Costume design is by Audrey Arnett-Tomasek, Bailey Gammon, Victoria Mearini, Marissa Miller and Carmen Phillips.
