The transition can even be more difficult for LGBTQ+ students, particularly for those who have recently "come out." Ken Ditlevson, director of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's LGBTQ+ Center, talks about the many resources available at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ to support them.

Molly Merryman, Ph.D., the founding director of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University's Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality and associate professor of sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences, was featured in a USA TODAY opinion piece that outlined black transgender women’s contributions to the LGBTQ movement.
