In its 2024 Best Colleges analysis of more than 700 four-year colleges, Money ranked Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State as the most affordable college in Ohio.
More students have made the commitment to seek a degree from Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University and launch their futures as a Golden Flash. The university is celebrating the rise in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus enrollment for the first time in 10 years along with another strong freshman class and improved retention rates on both the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ and Regional Campuses.
Future Flash Days, when admitted students and their families visit the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus, enjoyed another successful year for 2023. Nearly 1,300 students from 24 states, plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, experienced what it is like to be a Golden Flash.
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University is proving that it is the place to be for fall 2023 with a record-breaking number of applications, a record-breaking number of students who have been accepted for admission into the university and a record-breaking number of students who have made deposits to confirm their attendance in the fall.
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University’s Class of 2026 has arrived on the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus in strong numbers – 4,251 to be exact – an increase of nearly 7% over the previous year, the largest class since before the pandemic and the eighth largest incoming class in the university’s 112-year history.
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University is excited to be a part of the Ohio College Comeback Compact, an innovative program to help students who left college with debt but without a degree to continue their education. Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State is collaborating with seven public colleges and universities in Northeast Ohio to reach out to these students and provide a path back to higher education while reducing or eliminating their debt.
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University’s Class of 2025 arrives with a strong record of classroom success, boasting an all-time high GPA of 3.5. These newest Golden Flashes arrive 3,982 strong, an increase of more than 4% from a year ago.
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University President Todd Diacon announced a massive, first-of-its-kind new student aid program that focuses on getting even more Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Golden Flashes to graduation, and beyond.
