Marguerite A. Erme, DO, MPH

Marguerite (Margo) Erme is an assistant professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University, NEOMED. From February 1996 to June 2004, she was employed by NEOMED in the department of community health sciences and also served as part-time disease control medical officer for the Akron Health Department. She was the full-time disease control medical officer for the Akron Health Department from July 2004 through December 2010. Margo also served as the medical director for Summit County Public Health from May 2010 to December 2017. Her interests include communicable disease control and epidemiology, and emergency preparedness. Dr. Erme is a 1977 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology, a 1981 graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a 1993 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Master of Public Health.
