Joanna Liedel
Biography
Joanna Liedel serves as the Director of Academic Partnerships at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University. In this role, Joanna covers several different areas. Helping to oversee many Ohio Department of Higher Education initiatives and transfer pathways, she also works closely with academic advising and transfer student issues. Having been at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State for 25 years, Joanna’s background has covered a variety of positions during her time here; from academic advising, to student success initiatives, to supporting technology systems that aid in degree completion. In her current position she works toward making sure policies and business practices surrounding the student academic experience are consistent and follow the ethos of a student-ready campus.
Joanna is a second-generation higher education professional. Growing up many of the dinner conversations centered around faculty politics, academic policy, and the inner workings of a college. Having grown up immersed in this environment, it made her passionate about working with students to give them the fullest collegiate experience possible. She is happy to have made Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State her home for many years and watched the university grow and evolve with the times.
