Undergraduate Scholarship Applications Due

The political science department is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for three undergraduate scholarships.

The Dennis Sefert Endowed Scholarship is available to undergraduate students from a wide variety of majors, although preference will be shown to political science majors. Denis Sefert graduated from KSU with a BA in Political Science in 1965, and made provisions in his will to provide yearly support to a KSU student for the payment of tuition, fees, books or other supplies. This year, a $750 award will be made based on academic achievements, leadership activities and financial need. Award applications are accepted during spring semester. The John Logue Memorial Scholarship honors a Professor of Political Science at KSU for over 30 years and the founding director of the Ohio Employee Ownership Center. This scholarship serves to memorialize Professor Logue’s work in promoting economic democracy and to make higher education more accessible for KSU students who some interests in his work. This $1,500 scholarship award is to support a junior or senior either serving in a summer internship at a firm, public sector agency, or non-profit organization or to assist with tuition during the fall/spring terms. Preference is given to students who will have a summer internship. Award applications are accepted during spring semester. Contact the Undergraduate Coordinator for more information.

The Shirley Robb Dubetz Endowed Scholarship is open to a political science major who is also a pre-law minor on the basis of leadership, personal achievement and financial need (preference will be given to seniors). For the 2016-17 academic year, an award of $750 will be made. To be considered for this award, download the application form below and follow the instructions.
