Biography
Janet specializes in medical-surgical nursing; she has worked in acute care, geriatrics, long-term care, rehab nursing, travel nursing, and step-down units across 3 states since 2003. She has a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction focusing on Educational Technology. Her research focuses on technology's effect on social and emotional factors and using technology to improve teaching and learning in nursing. This includes simulation anxiety, gaming, escape rooms, generative artificial intelligence, preceptor development, and innovations to improve learning as well as the health and well-being of nursing students, patients, and practicing nurses.
