Saxophonist Bobby Selvaggio, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's Director of Jazz Studies as well as an alumnus, continues to help invigorate Northeast Ohio's thriving Jazz scene. Earlier this year, he recorded his 11th album, Re:Invented, as leader live at one of Cleveland's premier performance venues, the Bop Stop. The album, to be released Oct. 4 by Dot Time Records, has deep Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State connections, with several KSU faculty and alumni performing. In addition to performing, Bobby wrote and arranged most of the music on the album.
Throughout August, Bobby has had a busy performance schedule, playing venues from Akron and Cleveland to Pittsburght and Philadelphia. He also recently spoke on "JimJim's Reinvention Revolution Podcast" about Jazz in Northeast Ohio, building Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's innovative Jazz Studies program and his latest recording project.
