The ֱ State University College of Podiatric Medicine celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. One of nine accredited podiatry colleges in the United States, the four-year, graduate-level medical college grants the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. More than 6,780 podiatrists have graduated from the college since its founding in 1916.
“It is astounding to view the evolution of the profession, beginning with only 14 students—to having more than 100 graduates each year,” says Dean Allan Boike, D.P.M., pictured at right celebrating with students from the college. “From [its beginning] the college has maintained one goal: to produce the finest providers of foot and ankle care in the world.”
