iSchool Introduces Accelerated School Library Media Program

Applications for this one year program are being accepted now

The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University School of Information (iSchool) is pleased to announce a summer accelerated program for the School Library Media concentration in the MLIS program.  Teachers have asked for a summer program that can address two things: 1) a program that can be completed within one year (half the courses can be taken over the summer), and 2) a rigorous program that would allow them to sit for their certification exam in any state.

The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State iSchool has three pathways to school library licensure or MLIS:

  1. Licensure only program (for those who already hold a teaching certificate)
  2. MLIS with a K-12 School Library Media Licensure
  3. Dual Degree MLIS + MEd

The accelerated summer program consists of six courses during an intense schedule and is open to all students interested in a master’s degree in library and information science program, with a focus on school libraries.
