Graduate Assistantships
The School of Information at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University offers student worker positions when they are available.
For the latest updates, consider following the iSchool on social media (@ iSchoolKSUiSchool) and look out for our newsletters in your KSU Gmail inbox.
Of course, the iSchool remains committed to connecting interested MLIS students with research and hands-on learning opportunities. If you're interested in supporting faculty research or developing your own project, speak with your advisor about an individual investigation.
If you're concerned about financing your degree, especially during these uncertain times, don't forget to take a look at our webpage on scholarships. The iSchool is typically open for applications in September/October, and we have links to many great outside scholarships as well. Above all, don't hesitate to reach out to the iSchool and your advisor.
While graduate assistantships are not currently available, graduate assistants typically help faculty with their research projects, with their courses or with other duties as assigned.
Applications would be reviewed by a committee to select a group of finalists for interviews before graduate assistantships would be awarded. The number of available graduate assistant positions has varied over the years, based on available funding.
