For 55 years, leaders from Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University and the city of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ have met over breakfast to foster successful collaboration between the university and the city.
The semiannual Bowman Breakfast, which began in 1963, brings together leaders from Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State and the city of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ in a forum designed to advance community issues and strengthen the town-gown relationship.
The topic for this year’s spring Bowman Breakfast is “Town-Gown Relations – Working Together Makes It Work!â€
The event will take place Wednesday, April 4, in the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Student Center Ballroom. Doors open at 7 a.m., breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. and the program follows from 8-9 a.m.
Featured speakers from the city are David Ruller, city manager; Jim Bowling, P.E., superintendent of engineering and deputy service director; and Mike Lewis, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Police lieutenant. Representing the university are Mark Polatajko, Ph.D., senior vice president for finance and administration; Tom Euclide, associate vice president for facilities planning and operations; and Dean Tondiglia, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Police chief and director of public safety. Todd Kamenash, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s assistant dean of students and director of student conduct, will moderate the discussion.
