'SKYHACK is for Anyone and Everyone'

Collaborative hackathon generates solutions for real world aviation challenges

Innovation takes flight Nov. 3-5 at ֱ State University’s event. It’s a weekend-long aviation hackathon that’s free and open to undergraduate and graduate students from any major or program from any U.S. university. Students interested in participating can register .

Katie Criswell, a junior communication studies major from North Canton, Ohio, is a co-producer of the event. She said that participants don’t need to be aeronautics or engineering majors and that the event is “open to everyone who wants to use their specific skill set to collaborate with other creative minds.”

Katie Criswell invites all interested innovators to attend this challenging and fun event.

Teams will have access to all of the specialized equipment in the DI Hub for the entire weekend and will use their skills and knowledge to build a project to completion during the event. Designs will address challenges in four specific areas: aerospace, advanced air mobility, travel experience and piloting.

This is the fourth time ֱ State has hosted SKYHACK. SKYHACK is a biennial event presented by the Design Innovation Initiative and the College of Aeronautics and Engineering (CAE) and made possible by support from presenting partner the .
