Fast-track Certificates Boost Careers in Business and Technology

The College of Applied & Technical Studies (CATS) offers certificate programs designed to boost careers in business, technology and more. These undergraduate certificates require just 15 to 30 hours of coursework, making them quick and accessible options for busy professionals.

The CATS certificates are tailored to meet the demands of today’s job market. By combining current job experience with relevant courses, these programs can quickly impact your career and open up new opportunities.

Twenty CATS certificate programs are currently available, including:

•    CAD for Manufacturing
•    Computer-Aided Drafting/Design Technician
•    Computer Forensics & Information Security
•    Essentials of Business Decision Making
•    Medical Assisting
•    Medical Billing
•    Office Software Applications
•    Online Industrial Maintenance Training
•    Semiconductor Manufacturing Technician

Several programs are offered fully or mostly online and are available at various Regional Campuses, including Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Salem, Stark, Trumbull and Tuscarawas and at the Twinsburg Academic Center.

To make earning a certificate even more affordable, scholarships are available to help cover tuition costs. These scholarships are available until June 30, 2025, or until funds run out, on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications can be submitted through Scholarship Universe.

This scholarship program aims to strengthen Ohio’s workforce by supporting short-term certificate programs that attract new talent and investments to the state.
