Above the plate

From left to right:

  • Butter plate with butter knife laid across diagonally
  • Salt and pepper shakers
  • Desert fork and spoon laid horizontally, directly above the main plate. The spoon is on top and faces left, with the fork directly below it facing right.
  • Drinking glasses. First the water goblet, then the red wine glass paired closely with a sherry glass directly below it, and then a white wine glass.
