William R. Schubert, AIA, ACHA
Biography
Mr. Schubert is a graduate of the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University College of Architecture and Environmental Design, having received a Bachelor of Architecture degree, with honors, in 1979. His career has primarily focused on the practice of healthcare architecture, where he is widely recognized by his peers for his healthcare planning and design skills. Having previously worked for several national architectural firms, his portfolio includes a diverse variety of healthcare projects, including academic medical centers, community hospitals and various centers of excellence, including oncology, cardiac, pediatric and rehabilitation specialty care centers. His past clients include many of the nation’s leading healthcare provider organizations, for healthcare facilities constructed throughout the country.
In professional practice, Mr. Schubert’s application of functional problem-solving principles in the planning and design of healthcare projects has resulted in innovative and cost-effective facility solutions. A strong proponent of participative planning processes, he has the ability to lead key decision-makers throughout the complex planning and design process, thereby ensuring consensus-based decisions. Knowledgeable in the analysis of operational and financial conditions, Mr. Schubert additionally possesses a broad understanding and sensitivity of both public and private sector issues, thereby helping forge strong partnerships and solutions.
